About Me

Hi, I'm Eric.

I'm a UX designer who loves to make things intuitive, purposeful, and a little more human. I believe that good design is invisible — when something works seamlessly, it's easy to overlook the care and consideration behind it.

🎯

My Design Approach

My approach to UX design is grounded in clarity, functionality, and empathy. I enjoy breaking down complex systems into intuitive experiences that reduce friction for users.

My goal as a designer is to ensure that the experience serves the user first — not by overwhelming them with novelty but by guiding them with intention and clarity. I test my designs early and iterate frequently because I value feedback as an essential part of the creative process.

🌍

Where I Find Inspiration

I often draw inspiration from the world around me, especially through travel. The places I visit, the people I meet, and the unfamiliar environments I explore help me understand different perspectives.

I've learned that inspiration doesn't always strike at a desk. Sometimes, the best ideas come when I'm people-watching in a new city, or observing how someone interacts with a system in their daily life. I carry a sketchbook to capture these sparks when they happen.

🚀

What I'm Working Toward

I'm currently studying UX Design at Simon Fraser University and seeking internship opportunities where I can learn, contribute, and grow alongside experienced teams.

I want to work in environments that challenge me and push me to keep learning. I'm especially drawn to teams that prioritize collaboration, feedback, and diverse perspectives. My long-term goal is to build a meaningful career in UX, designing products that help people navigate the world more effortlessly.

Beyond the Screen

Outside of design.

When I'm not designing, you'll find me traveling somewhere new, chasing fresh powder, hunting down great restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
